General discussion

The BOL YouTube Group has issues

Mar 1, 2006 7:44AM PST

So if you visit the Buzz Out Loud group page on YouTube, it shows that there are now 7 members but the only person it shows that has a video is Veronica (earlysound). The rest it says "No VIdeos Yet." However, if you click on some of the others, we DO, in fact, have videos there. Also, if you click on Veronica's, I don't see any videos to play.

The interface is a mess. It's rather confusing to know how to properly add something and to list it in the correct place.

We're working on something with download.com

Not to diss YouTube or the group, but this reme that Download.com is working on a user-submission video system that should come pretty soon.

I think it will initially be used for some kind of membership benefits contest, details to be determined. So sharpen your video production skills.

Sharpening as we speak

Cool. This is the kind of user integration I hope to see with CNET (download.com being CNET property). And also, friendly interface is extremely important for success. Never forget that (as I grumble about YouTube's horrible example with their YouTube Group area).

Likely mistaken assumption

I think I may have assumed you had videos there because you were the only one with a picture icon above your user name. The rest of us just have a blank and the words "No Videos Yet"
