The Best Source Code Encryption

Mar 15, 2007 12:00AM PDT

The subject says it all. I want to know, what is the best? I want to put up a good defense and I want to know which has the best defense?

I've found this site and it seems great.

http://www.htmlblock.co.uk/

The problem is, down below on the page, under Headlines and Latest Updates, they stated some releases on November 20, 2007. Well, the month is March and it is not quite November yet.

Should I trust this? Anyone know of any better out there?

I thought that went out of favor years ago.

I remember long discussions about this about 1 year after the internet started with the first browsers. People raged on about protecting html code.

It died but I see people still try.

Go figure.

What I think.

Long time ago, when I started web desiging, at some point "protecting my HTML" was on my mind as well. I searched around, tried things out, but only after a month I realized that this was just a big waste of time. If it truly worked, and if the efforts were really worth it, why wouldn't microsoft.com or many other website protect their HTML? The truth is, there is no real protection. If one wants to really see your code and read, they will find a way. So, I would use the time you'd spend on html encryptions and use it for something else. That's just what I think.

If you're still interested in trying something out, go look at this link:

* http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tg=dl-20&qt=html%20encryption&tag=srch

It lists a few softwares and has reviews. Sort by the highest review and go from there.

Good Luck!

Yes, I understand that.

Thanks. I'll look at the link. I just want to put up some defense. I know that it is not 100% secure, but at least some defense. There are alot of newbies and they tend to steal, because they have no clue about HTML and codings. So, those newbies will have no clue about cracking an encryption. Just want some kinda defense.

I looked around that site and found...

Every page was viewable as source. If this did actually work you would think there would be a demo page.

Do not part with money on this until you get the demo.

I'm using one and it is nice.

So far, it encrypts just fine. Really tough. It is a different brand that I found. I only encrypts the important codes.
