Have to admit - - - pretty funny
and I could not prove you wrong.
(NT) More truth than fiction.
Makes as much sense as an elephant with a "We Hate Everybody
Else" T-shirt with a bubble filled with Anti-Kerry, and Anti-Gore and Anti-Clinton BS. Partisan hokum.
The difference is...
the donkey cartoon is true!
For a group of highly educated people (I think).....
....you guys sure have trouble discerning the difference between fact and opinion.
I guess that explains why the original post wasn't trolling but anything critical of Bush is.
I think you miss the point of the cartoon...
it's not just that the donkey is wearing a "We hate Bush" t-shirt, it's that he is saying NOTHING.
A very apt description of the current state of the Dems.
As for trolling, much much more from your side of the fence than ours, so what's the big deal?
I didn't miss the point at all
But it is expressing an opinion, not stating a fact.
So was duckman
He said "The absolute TRUTH (prove me wrong)"
It is ya know
Which part was not factual?
That many many Democrats hate Bush?
Or that they have nothing of substance to say?
Part two is most definitely not factual
As to part one, I'd have to see some poll results.
Poll results! That's pretty funny by itself.
As for part two, I'd have to see a list. Or maybe some poll results.
Sorry. I just find this very amusing.
It's really very simple, Ed
Whether a group of people (Democrats, Republicans, the Irish or whoever) has anything to say is a matter of opinion. You have yours; I have mine. ''Democrats have nothing to say'' is an opinion and not a fact.
If you still don't understand that, well then we'll just go around in circles on this and I'll bow out.
Bear with me a little longer...
WHY do you think it is that people think the Democrats have nothihg to say, beyond Bush bashing? I've heard this even form Democrats. Why?
Don't you think they ought to address this issue?
Actually I do think they need to address the issue
Their message (in my opinion) has become less clear in the last few years. Making Howard Dean the DNC Chairman sent the wrong message (in my opinion).
Even if millions of people share that opinion though, it's still a perception and an opinion, and not a fact.
"Howard Dean is wearing a blue tie" is a fact.
"Howard Dean is ridiculous" is an opinion.
They shouldn't address it. By all means let it slide.
Have you ever heard the saying "In politics, perception is reality"?
BTW it's only your opinion that "Howard Dean is ridiculous" is not fact.
Oh, you said they should.
Darn! Well, not to worry. They won't.
I'm not sure they CAN.
The same can be said for your side:(
Most don't want to be bothered with the truth, only with what fits in with what they already think:( And THAT goes for both sides of the fence:(
(NT) Don't bother me with facts - my head's made up
Maybe we should have that saying as a subtitle for SE
if was a t shirt with a band aid
on it we would reconize it as a kerry ad:)
(NT) Do you have pictures of such T-shirts?
But. Rob in that case...
See the button that says
The absolute TRUTH
A drawing of a "talking" ******* wearing a suit?
What part is true?
Donkey = Democrat
T-shirt = Bush basher
Empty "balloon" = nothing to say
You called it a ******* not me
''real'' donkeys don't talk, don't wear suits, t shirts,(unless their owners dress them up) and don't make political statements
So, What is the absolute truth?
Francis, the talking mule from the fifties could talk. It couldn't really talk but they had a guy do a voiceover as the mules lips moved.
LOL, I wonder how much vitriol I'd stir up.....
....if I made a reference to "Bush, the Talking President" at this point.
(NT) Large smile
(NT) It's a cartoon, silly
