I had tried for weeks to get that Norton system off my computer and within a few hours you were able to fix it for me. Thank you very much for your help, and incredible insight. I know where to come if I ever have a question again.
Thanks again,

You're welcome. Does it seem I get to remove more software than I install?

I keep a secong uninstaller program on my computer,
just in case I have to remove Norton System Works
from my computer (it has CleanSweep program)

The Alternate program is:

McAfee / UnInstaller

CleanSweep won't delete many of Microsoft
O/S related applications, but Uninstaller will

However, one has to be more careful with what
this program may do

Incidentally, Symantec does have special softwares
to uninstall their programs (partially only) and these files are available at their web-site

Sorry, Frankie is late in coming to the rescue
