I personally do not care for the two-tone look of the 60U or the 600U. I preferred the piano-gloss black of the 500U. That made it look classier and unique from the lower end 50U. There's almost no difference in look b/w the 60 and 600U!
Just saw the 600U at Tweeter. Had the opportunity to view it side-by-side with the Pioneer Elite Line (PRO-930HD & PRO-1130HD). I did not expect the 600U to beat the PRO-930HD and PRO-1130HD. Pioneer is the reference by which other sets are judged. But, I did not expect to be so blown away by the 600U's image- the closest I've ever seen any set come to the Elites' and at roughly half the price. Yeah- the Pioneer delivered the best image quality, but not $3,000 better! As for the Panny models it's replacing, please. It's clearly superior to the PX50U & 500U-greater resolution, truer blacks, a wider viewing angle, more inputs and CableCARD. There was also significantly less glare. Can anyone confirm if Panasonic is using a new glass on this model?
