Question

Text messages...

Not sure where this quesiton goes, but, I'll give it a shot here.

Rockin' a BlackBerry Torch 9850 on Sprint. Just bought an Android (gasp!) tablet, Nexus 7. I rely on texts that come to my BB number in many instances and was wondering if there was any way to get my texts to not only appear on my phone but also on the tablet? When I'm working on the tablet, it'd be great if I could get them on that device without having to pick up my phone whenever one chimes in.

Thoughts?

Answer
Sure. But is there an app for that?

Given what I know about both platforms it is possible that a pair of apps can make this happen. It's not a native app and someone would have to created it.

The sad news is that given the state of this phone, all the developers I know of are not writing for the BB anymore.

If you use the AOL IM tool, you can send/receive instant messages on multiple devices using only data and not counting toward a messaging allowance on the cell phone. Not a perfect solution, but an alternative to text messaging.
