I received a text message saying suspicious login detected. See Google.com/blocked. What does this mean? Why did I receive it? What do I do now?

Here's another problem to consider

How do you know the text message itself isn't 'rogue' per se(?) IOW, not legitimate. A ruse in itself, e.g. convincing people to do certain things/change passwords, etc.

Changing your google password wouldn't hurt, and is safe if you have any doubts about your account being compromised though. This is standard operating procedure to stay one step ahead if you will.
