Text in Title Bar shown only as little squares

Mar 20, 2005 1:42PM PST

Recently the text in the title bar of web pages as displayed by IE 6 shows only as a row of little squares, sometimes with some punctuation. The same for the page title as displayed in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen.

This was not the case until about two weeks ago, nothing else is wrong (surfing, e-mail, etc. all working fine), and this peculiarity does NOT show up when a page is displayed in Netscape, where the title is shown properly. Any ideas?

Thanks for your prompt response to my post about the font problem in IE title bar. Unfortunately, it only led me to find in Q194177 the Internet Repair Tool for IE 5. I am running Windows XP Professional SP2, and IE 6. Do you have any other ideas for this version?
