Temporarily divide bandwidth?

Mar 23, 2007 9:40PM PDT

I am a new DSL user, so please excuse stupid questions. XP Home SP2, Windstream ISP, Speedstream 5200 modem/router, Linksys switch, DSL 3.0MB package, home networked, sharing between 4 computers.

If I decide to watch videos on some website or download a movie from Movielink, is there a way I can temporarily limit the bandwidth my computer connection is using, so the other computers can still get decent speeds.

You have to add something like NetLimiter.

Thank you. I usually do good with Google, but I wasn't asking the right questions, and everything I was turning up was about setting up managed switches, servers, etc.
