It seems a bit high compared to mine. How long have you been running this system? Who built it if it is new? How was the temperature measured? If it was measured by the processor or the mobo it is more likely to be accurate than an outside program. What programs are you running when you see this temperature? Let us know.

At 129F or about 54C, spot-on for this CPU on average.

If there are no other problems I wouldn't change a thing.

The only issue I see is that 300 Watt power supply. It's likely under some stress, and if you start to see the machine get very unstable, look for a 450 Watt unit and check that all the fans are clear and running at top speed.

Thanks for the replies, will keep an eye on it and replace the power supply if necessary.

My Athlon 1200 runs at about 127 to 140 degrees with the case cover in place, With it off, it runs about 120 to 128. With a 7" fan blowing into the open case, it runs about 112 to 122.
With hardware you have listed, I think a much larger power supply is in order. A 300 can cause many intermittent problems. Also, a can of compressed air will sometimes work wonders at removing lint & etc. Good luck.
