May 27, 2005 10:39PM PDT

Hi all.
I use Sisoftaware Sandra and in mainborad information, when i play games for 2-3 hours,i get this:
Board temp:39C/102F
CPU Temp :34C/93F
Power/Aux: 58C/136F

Whats the last one?
I mean,everything SLOWS down...so,something is very hot,right?
May be the vga?(ATI 9800 pro 128MB)
I have Athlon 2500 and WIN XP SP1
thank you

That CPU temp is

wonderfully low [suspiciously low?]. The board temp seems a minor amount high, only because the CPU temp is so low. Temp in the vicinity of the CPU's HSF should be 38 C or less.

Don't know what power aux is.

Wonder if your video card is getting too hot. Check its fan.

Guess.

Power/aux= power supply temp.

Just for yuks.
Take a trip over to your mobo makers site and see if they have a temp monitor.

If so compare it to what sandra is telling you.

Another option is to look around in your bios and see if you have something like hardware monitor.

If so open it and see what it says.

Just a suspicion

The MB and CPU temps look as if they are reversed so maybe these are reported incorrecty. Since another poster suggested looking for a temp monitor in the BIOS, I will tell you what to expect. Your CPU temp will rise while monitoring it there which can give you the false impression that the temp will be even higher when Windows loads. This is not necessarily the case and I cannot explain why. Your lowest temp will be with the CPU at full idle with Windows loaded and can be 10-15 degrees higher when you monitor it in the BIOS.
