The onboard temp sensors are inaccurate. Go figure. What they are good for is to stop machines from frying. Not good to measure with.
I have 3 gateway e6100's 3 to 3.4 gig cpu, xp pro, 2 gig mem, 80-160 hdd, fx 6200agp- fx5500 pci, sound blaster audio , lynksis nic's and i think 845dpz motherboards stock anyway.
I have been fighting a over heating issue maybe. I swapped heat sinks and the temp goes up according to IAM. non contact thermometers say no and external temp and fan controls say no, well less so by 20-30 degrees.
Can IAM be off? depending on the reloading of the program I have 2 or 1 fan and the rear fan from the MB may and may not work.
Where are the temp sensors, what is zone one? zone 2? the cpu is odvious.
has anybody else had simular odd problems?
Marvis the still learning one
