Here is a recap of what we have learned from people who have purchased a SVP camera.

They are not sold directly by SVP.

They are sold by various eBay and auction stores.

Most of these stores charge far to much for shipping.

If you want to return a camera to a store, many have a very big restocking fee.

Just about all of the advertisements for these cameras have false claims.
Most notable is the false claim for very large megapixel ratings.

Most people are paying too much for what they get.

Many of the lower cost cameras have no optical zoom.
These are bare bones cameras, and a similar camera can be found at well known mail order sites for $50.

The cameras do not have sufficient documentation.

There is no place to go for support.

SVP has a website with a claim for support but owners seeking support report little or no support.

If you buy a camera and it is DOA or breaks, you have little chance of getting it fixed or replaced.

..........

Are any of these cameras worth $100?
Do the camera perform well?

There is no way to know.
Professional reviewers do not review these cameras.

.......

So what is the big attraction to these cameras?

Years ago I went to the Michigan State Fair.
There was a man there dressed in an indian headdress and buckskin clothes.

He held up an empty feed sack that had previously contained cattle feed. He read off the ingredients that were printed on the feed sack.

"This is what we feed our cattle - what do we feed our families??? Meat and potatoes!"

This was the whole theme of his talk that lasted for over 30 minutes. He was a spell-binder.

But he had the solution....a suppliment that will keep our families strong and healthy. He was going to sell us this solution for only $10. But could only sell 100 boxes of this life saving substance.

Several people came out into the crowd with boxes of this wonderful substance. People were waving $10 bills.

When they ran out of boxes there was no more to sell.
Some people were still waving $10 bills, but too bad.
They could sell no more.

Come back to the next show in two hours and you will have another chance to buy some.

We did not know what this wonderful stuff was, but we needed it to make our families strong and healthy.

I managed to get near one of the lucky people who managed to buy a box. I watched with anticipation, as the box was opened. It contained a months supply of magic. It contained 30 vitamin tablets.
