Television selection

by tanjmeister3 / July 17, 2006 3:14 PM PDT

I'm sure this question has been asked many a times but I am really not too sure which to get...I'm going to single out plasma...just because I want something around the 60 inch mark and that would blow right through my budget. Basically for budget wise I am looking for something under $3000 cdn (~$2700 usd).

I have heard many good things about DLP...is that basically my only option for a good high end tv that isn't plasma? I want a really good sharp picture that doesn't look pixelated, or where you can see bars on the screen. If need be...I can spend a little extra to get a better unit.

Brand names help, but particular models would be even better.

Thanks in advance.

I have installed a few of the new JVC DiLA sets, very pleased with picture quality, lots of connections, overall a good choice.

I have read the reviews on the Sony LCoS units and they seem like they are quite the machine...however, they are selling for $5000+ here in Canada.

I'm not too familiar with JVC...I have been more prone to names like Panasonic, Samsung, Sony, Toshiba.

Just wondering if anyone else had any more input on this matter.

Thanks

WARNING IS JVC HAS VERY POOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS; in the USA, don't know about CANADA.
