from the '50s and into the '60s. I first saw it in B & W. In fact, I don't even remember color presentations. He had a young boy and girl as his "students" on the show and just had a mannerism that was that was calm, comfortable and personal. I remember when I first saw Bill Nye (the science guy) on later TV. "Is he supposed to be the new Mr. Wizard?", I thought. Way too hyper and too much entertainment rather than educational value. Of course that's what the Sesame Street school of learning has brought to the classroom.....entertainment.
Guess I'm getting too old, cranky, and have developed a yearning for old ways. Never thought it would happen. ![]()
