Question

television and wifi

Mar 29, 2017 1:10PM PDT

I have a room that needs tv onfar away from the television outlet. Is there a way that the tv can be wall mounted and use wifi or? Direct Tv is my provider. I was thinking of Comcast. Comcast told me that wires would have to be run over two doors and down a wall Did not seem that would be at all attractive. I have not bought the Television for that room yet. Please advise as to what I should do.

Direct TV wireless genie mini

That would be one option, but AFAIK you would be forced to also rent the main DIRECT TVbox too which serves as teh DVR and Server sending out the wireless signal to the Genie.

Why can't the cable company locate another spot for a wall output? If there aren't any structural limitations, they usually do it for a fee.

A wireless solution varies with the provider. Some do and some do not offer this.

WiFi is not used by these providers. If you want WiFi only then you use your internet and some Roku to get what you want over there (limited by that device.)
