Telephone call monitor

Sep 13, 2005 12:12AM PDT

This is a land line type phone question, not a mobile phone question, so I hope some body can help. I live in the middle of the jungle in Papua New Guinea, and our local telco cannot supply call ( or will not ) supply call information with our monthly bill. Is there any software available which I can load onto my computer, hook my phone up through the computer via a modem, and monitor all incomming and outgoing calls, then print the info out. We appear to get outrageous phone bills here, so I would like to be able to compare the bill with calls made. If calls could be recorded, that would also be nice, but not a necessity.

Many thanks
Graham

I don't know what type of computer you have, but I have used a program in the past that worked wonderful. Its called Communicate and its put out by 01 communique lab. http://www.01com.com and their phone is 1800-668-2185 The unfortunate thing is I think it was for Windows 95 or earlier. I believe you also must have the caller ID feature from your phone company.
I hope this helps
Good Luck
