May 2, 2008 12:05PM PDT

i am stumped as to what to do everyone...i curently am trying to hook up an mp3 player for my father and my brother HOWEVER... when i plugged them in for the first time and tried to install them the instalation could not complete for any of them (they are the sansa clip, the sansa c200, and the toshiba gigabeat) now everytime i try to pug them into the computer a series of low "dings" sound so the comp knows its in the USB slot. however when i go to "My Computer" and look for the removable device i see nothing , no extra drive no extra icon nothing. Oh all of them charge just fine its just the comp does not give me an option to drag music to it. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Is/are your computer usb working? How do you know it is? Have you tried using different cables?

Looks like it's time to read the manuals?

From C200 manual:

Transfer Music
3. In MTP mode as long as the files are WMA or MP3, they can be dragged into the Media folder. Otherwise, they can be dragged into the Data folder (these files will not appear on the player).
4. In MSC mode, files/folders can be dragged/copied to the device.

sansa site!

I have a sansa e200 and works great! did you get the new software yet? go to sandisk site and download the "updater" and the "media converter" after you install these! when you plug in your sansa----media converter should just open! and then you will see sansa in the "my computer folder"
then you can just drag n drop! (after clicking on the sansa icon, and choosing the music folder!
or windows media player will sync to the sansa, and you can add music that way also!
