I go shopping for a replacement camcorder.
I've had this sony DCR-TRV250 model # 392750 700x digital zoom 20x optical digital8 handycam. My family took a trip to New England last April and took our camcorder with us. When we returned home we found that it wouldn't work. I called Sony for technical help and they had me take the battery out for a minute and put it back in and it worked for 30 seconds and then died again.
If I don't have a tape inside the camcorder works fine but as soon as I put a tape in the screen makes a beeping noise and blinks fast on the right hand corner C:31:23 and a triangle with a line underneith in the middle of the screen.
I looked at my manuel and I did what the self-diagnosis display told me to do which is to eject the cassette and insert it again. Disconnect the power cord of the AC Adaptor or remove the battery pack. After reconnecting the power source, operate your camcorder. Then it showed me c:21: which is a moisture condensation but then that went away after a couple months sitting on the shelf.
I don't know if this is a simple problem I can fix myself or is it something that would need professional help?
