Tech stuff that coulda been funded from the economic crisis...

You know, with money that was lost in the U.S. economic crisis - we could probably, no, easily fund the initial colonization of the Moon *and* Mars...

consider say...8 trillion dollars has been "destroyed". What tech venture would you fund?

Best,
Shalin

Need to get it done--today's equivalent of the electrification process that had to get done so that all would have electricity, even in the 1 human/100 miles stretches. (Or more--Hi there Montana!)

Getting everyone wired--or, really wireless--access would create jobs at many levels, and is just plain necessary to maximize the potential of everyone. How far can you get without any Internet knowledge (or limited because dial-up makes your ear bleed) today? How about 5 years from now? Satellite, which is the only option in many areas has significant startup costs, lower thoughput and low caps. Better than nothing, but then so is a horse but I'd still rather have a car.
