Tech -- hook up 2 DVRs to old Samsung TV with RF input only!

by colquhoun3709 / July 21, 2007 8:30 AM PDT

I have a SA8300 as a cable box. It has recordings on it I still want to see before I return it to BH for a plain cable box with no recording.

I am returning to TiVo because I have missed the extra features that TiVo has. What I do not miss is the complexity of configuring it. The SA8300 is simple in both installation and features <g>

I hooked this up as a regular Cable Box and Tivo, and watch while recording. It doesn't work.

I have a 3-way splitter, and a RadioShack 4 way stereo A/V switchbox. I also have two sets of RCA cables.

Any suggestions of how to configure these so I can see and use my TiVo, and still, be able to switch over occasionally, to use the SA8300? I'm all trial-and-errored-out!

No ideas, huh?

I realize this is a specific problem, but hoped there might be someone out there who has done this. I'm able to watch both now, but I do lose a lotta useability rather than add it!

If your only input is RF, you need a RF switch,

They about $10 at Radio Shack. The RF output of the DVRs to the switch and output of the switch to the TV. John

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
