TaxCut rebate ripoff

May 31, 2006 2:52AM PDT

Thought will post this as a warning, used Taxcut for my 2005 return, included had a free Efiling that worked well.
Because I know is only one free Efiling for prgm and since I prepare also the return for my daughter I then purchased another box/prgm. installed it in another computer, filed the free Efiling and then filled all forms and submitted my rebates forms totally separated.
I received only one rebate as is "only one offer per customer".
Spent couple of hours on the phone but H&R Block does not offer an alternative to the "one customer" rule, even I sent all the docs. bar codes for two boxes, etc.
My mistake?, I used my name on both rebate claims!!!
Is amazing that there was nobody with a minimum IQ that could use common sense.
I thought this may help somebody.

but I do mine and my mother's using same program. two returns only one e-file rebate. next year, if they have same offer, just buy the one program, save the 20 or 30 dollars. I used to use turbo but they stopped supporting win 95 two years ago. i have xp now. the plus this year was taxcut's inclusion of state program without having to apply for a state rebate as in the past.
