Taskbar not remembering toolbar settings after restart

Anybody have any ideas how to repair Windows XP Home so that my taskbar will remember which toolbars were open - after a restart.

It seems a little "maintenance" (Reg cleaner) I did might have caused Windows to forget my settings. I am not sure if that is the source of the problem or not. I can go and manually add them back after each restart but if there is a way to repair what is missing so they return to their correct setting by themselves that would be great.

I have tried Taskbar Repair Tool Plus! but that didn't seem to help.

I ahve also tried unlocking the taskbar, removing all toolbars, creating a new toolbar, and everything is forgotten after restart.

Any help would be appreciated.

Someone reported back this worked.

Don't restart. Instead, logout. Then on the login screen restart and see if it remembered.

If Bob's recommendation doesn't solve the problem set your Taskbar up the way you like then go to the link below and scroll down to line 54 (right column) and click on "Save Settings on Exit" and download the reg file. Save the REG File to your hard disk. Then locate that reg file and double click it and answer yes to the import prompt. Restart your computer and see if the settings stick.
