Taskbar 'autohide' reset

by mkelberman / November 4, 2004 11:14 PM PST

Constantly annoyed by the fact that my taskbar 'autohide' is apparently disabled every time I reboot my machine. I go to the settings for the taskbar and 'autohide is still checked as a configuration option but, no matter what I do, the taskbar will not autohide.

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

I have vista premium and my autohide is checked and only works once. If I reset and re-check authide, again it will work just once.

Have you got 'taskbar locked' enabled when you right click the taskbar and choose properties?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
