I have Windows XP on my computer. Can anyone tell me how to put an icon (which is on my desktop) onto my taskbar? When I try to drag the icon down to the taskbar and I take my finger off the mouse button, the icon just springs back up. Thank you.

a-b-x, Have you tried right clicking your Taskbar and unlocking it then try dragging & dropping the shortcut to your Quick Launch?

In taskbar, rightclick, choose properies, disable "lock the taskbar"
click 'apply' ok, then go back and drop your icon into the taskbar. Remember to go back and lock the taskbar again to leave everythng as you found it.

kind regards,
