Question

task manager

Jan 29, 2015 10:41AM PST

My 3 yr old HP desk top computer is slow to shutdown. I'm running Windows 7. I "think" I have traced it too a program called Task Manager that is still running. Is there a way to delete Task manager by someone that has very little knowledge of the working systems of a computer. Any suggestions must be very straightforward. Thanks in advance.

and there's no updates going in the background, and task manager wants to stay active, then suspect an infection or malware and scan the entire computer.
