Taking pics for online shopping - Help !

Aug 11, 2009 2:40AM PDT

I need to find a camera that best suits shooting clothing, either on a mannequin or flat, for a retail site. I'm just starting out and really have no idea what to look for. Thanks very much !

There are many cameras that can do that.
What price range are we talking about?

$300-$500 ~ I don't think I need a hi-res camera for this job. Maybe a wide angle for shooting the mannequin. ??? Thx !

You are going to need a camera that will let you control the exposure and focus.

Here is a group review of that type of camera:

Look first at the Canon G10 or the Panasonic LX3.

You should also be looking at a tripod to support the camera during any long exposure shots.
