Resolved Question

tablet under $125?

Jun 29, 2014 3:04PM PDT

just looking for a cheap tablet under 200 bucks.
Found this wooden table for one heck of a deal. solid maple.
first I cut out an area in the center for a 10" tablet with the charger hole. used a dremel to put the finishing touches for the charger hole. dremel to the rescue for that. looks fantastic.

Need this thing to have WiFi g/n and a snappy interface with some 'tweakable' features similar to android phones.

All this will be doing is making the table a 'smart' table.
Displaying time, weather, date, and a slideshow of images for when family visits. Preferably durable, a metal case of some sort is nice but not that important.

Honestly never have owned (or used) a tablet before, so that's why asking the experts here.

I see generation 1 iPads for 100 to 150 bucks. There are plenty of apps on the iPad that may do what you ask.
