Question

Tablet Suggestions please

Mar 5, 2015 1:43AM PST

I'm looking into getting a tablet and have done some research on my own already and I always come back to the same one, but I'm a little worried about one thing. So before the purchase, I''m looking for suggestions from others in case there is a tablet I over looked.

What I want from the tablet.

-WiFi capabilities, I don't want a data plan or to add it to my current cell plan
-Read magazines, guns & ammo is not available in google play store unless there is an app that would allow me to read a larger variety of magazines?
-Basic web browsing from time to time
-Youtube capabilities
-Under 10" screen
-8GB 'usable' space, or the ability to add more with a SD card
-Under 100$ I can go a little more if needed

So far, I keep landing on the Kindle Fire HD 6 (16GB), I would have easy access to youtube, magazines (all the ones I want to for a reasonable price) internet and maps. But a lot of reviews say it is kind of laggy, Silk is slow and pointless. I wouldn't be using the internet a lot anyways.

But before making the purchase is there anything anyone else can say about it? or any other suggestions?

Pretty rare.

Most are junk at under 99 bucks except for some Amazon tablets which have their own world. We have the older Kindle Fire HD and I don't consider it laggy unless I am comparing it to our fire breathing Lenovo y510p with 16GB RAM, etc.

Thanks for the link, I'm still continuing to search but it still looks like the Kindle fire would be the 'best' of the cheap. I've also discovered the "ASUS VivoTab 8 M81C-B1-MSBK Signature Edition Tablet" however I'm not a fan of Windows 8 and would like something with a little easier design for quick navigation.

I bought a Lenovo tablet about a month ago, I shopped around and for the money it does what I want it to do. 16GB 8" screen, SD card slot, Dimm slot, It runs UTUBE, IE, Mozilla Windows mail. I am using the Tab version of Kaspersky as an A/V. I've sent a bunch of stuff to the SD card, pics, music etc. It is not as fancy as some, personally I like it better than my buddy's Kindle HDX, easier to get around in. I think I paid 135.00 on Amazon, another 15.00 for a cover 8.00 for a 16GB SD micro and a couple of bucks for screen covers. So far so good. I get tired of lugging my laptop around for just basic stuff, this thing suits me at least so far.
