Resolved Question

Tablet freezes during factory reset, won't start up.

May 14, 2015 3:41AM PDT

Hi,

I have had an Apex Emdoor Em63 tablet for over a year and it seems to be finally dying. It froze during start up and when trying to factory reset it in the boot menu it froze. I think there is a way to download the firmware but I can't find it. If anyone could give advice on how to reset it, or otherwise make the device work, that would be appreciated!

That's where I go for non-stock ROMS and other ideas. I looked at this and don't see support or repair. That is, I found a sub 99 buck disposable tablet. In fact it was 65 bucks at http://www.amazon.com/Apex-Digital-AP-EM63-7-Inch-dual-core/dp/B00IR8UCAK

Such things have no repair depot. They swap them out. This can really upset those folk used to repair.

Just sharing I picked up a 6 inch android phone for 99 bucks. In this price range you recycle responsibly and don't lose your hair over failures.

Assuming you didn't root it, so it still has the OS it came with, you can try their customer service at http://www.tmaxdigital.com/contact-us/ (yes, apexdigitial.com en tmaxdigital.com seem to have the same customer service).
