When it comes to video encoding the standards are fun because there are so many to choose from.
If I were to look at this today I'd check out the Kindle Fire, Google Nexus and the competing Samsung Tab.
Sure there are 99 buck tablets out there but I think the 199 buck mark gets you out of the bottom of the barrel models.

Hello folks,
DS keeps quiet while traveling if I let him watch videos on iPad. He is just 4 and handling of iPad is pretty rough. So far it survived but I am in no mood to let him use it anymore.
I am looking for a Android tablet that will play majority of the videos without much issues. Most of my videos are encoded in iPod or iPad format using VidCoder so it will be great if it can play those videos and it must have a flash memory card slot so that I can copy videos quickly.
Cost is also a factor. Since his handling is not good, cheaper the better. So that if it cracks the screen or something, I can just throw it away and should not really feel bad about it.
Any recommendations? Open for refurbished ones too.
