Question

Tablet - Can I Charge and run Keyboard simultaneously?

Sep 19, 2014 10:39PM PDT

Hi

I have a Hisense Seros 8 tablet and would like to find an adapter that will allow me to charge/maintain battery while I use a USB keyboard at the same time. Can anyone tell me if there is such an adapter and if so, where I might find one?

Thanks!

Yes, you should be able to. I have a Samsung Galaxy and I have no problem charging the wireless keyboard and using it at the same time.

You do have to consider the power pull of the tab as well as the connected keyboard. Most chargers that come in the box with tablets charge well only when the device isn't being used and most of the time you can only get fill up charge when the tablet is off. That being said there are quick charge cords out there. I recently purchased a micro usb charger for my Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and it works great -

I'm not sure about your model so do some research first. You may also consider doing a bluetooth keyboard - most of them only need to be charged every few months if used regularly and don't take long to charge. Hope you find something that works for you!
