Table splitting

Dec 26, 2010 4:14AM PST

In MS Word 2002 I have created a table that spans several pages. There might be only two rows on one page when there is plenty of room to add more rows from the next page. How do I get rid of the gap?

Always a problem for me

I use, (or used to), Word 2002 as well and I always had problems with tables spanning page breaks.

I don't think there's any easy answer, but firstly what do the pages look like in Print Preview?

If the gap is still there then all you can do is to increase the top and bottom margins of the pages. Not too far though or you will come across printing problems.

Other ideas, reduce the font size, or reduce the space between lines.

Like I said, it was always a problem for me.

I usually managed to get it to work by messing around and trying different things, but I sympathise with your situation. I never found it easy in Word.
