Look at the style you use on the line that is being fed to the TOC. Now only apply that style to the words you want to see in the TOC. If you used Heading for your entire document you get a free lesson why that's not a good idea.

I have a document with roughly 200 pages, most of which is a table. I'm trying to create a Table of Contents using the selected values in the first column. Unfortunately, in the table of contents Word puts the values/text for the entire row.
Anybody know of a way to get Word to just use the value from the first column in the table of contents?
