Question

Tab Key Doesn't Work in Samsung Smart TV Internet Browser

Dec 10, 2012 2:42AM PST

I bought a new 55 inch Samsung Smart TV with a included keyboard. When I am browsing the internet, the Tab Key does not move to the next field like it does on a computer. It is very difficult to move from field to field on a form without this. How can I get this to work correctly?

Hi rspiet,

I'm very sorry to hear that has happened, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. In order for me to help you most accurately, please provide the complete model code for the TV?

Model Number

My model number is UN55ES7150FXZA, but it is not limited to my model. My girl frield also has an older Samsung smart tv with a keyboard. The tab key does not work on that either. In fact, trying to type anything, including web addresses into the web browser is just difficult. The user should have the option for the on-screen keyboard to not display if an external keyboard is connected. Why can't the whole web browser just work like it does on a p.c.

Hi rspiet,

I gave my product specialist this feedback. He's looking into it to make sure there's not currently a way, but he's the best person to make a recommendation on something like this to product development. So it's been forwarded appropriately. Sorry for the inconvenience it has been.
