tab button doesnt always work

Mar 8, 2004 12:05PM PST

Once in awhile the tab button works, but it seems most of the time it hasnt been, lately. Its kind of a handy button to have...

The OS is WinMe, and the puter is by HP. The keyboard is original equipment.

Sounds like it could be something wrong with the tab key, you might want to try another keyboard.

If another keyboard doesn't cure it, read http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-7590-0.html?forumID=67&threadID=14458&start=0 in which some PARASITE was found "eating" keyboard strokes. Such may be SPYWARE logging keyboard strokes and this is one of the signs. It's going to be a hardware issue or the PARASITE issue.

Parasite removal programs.

http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-6132-0.html?forumID=32&threadID=1313&start=0 notes the five scanning tools and removal tools that are fairly safe. If one does encounter an issue, its always been damage done by the MALWARE. The most common issue being Layered Service Provider replacement which you can use LSPFIX (Hint: use http://www.google.com to find).

The thread has follow on discussions about new links if you don't want to use Google to find an item.

PS. All the tools are free.

Bob, I had just gotten my puter hooked up, and started with the clean-up routine you suggested on it. One of the links you suggested (the shredder one) turns into a Russian site. After Ive translated it with Babel, Im still not sure what to do.
