T-mobile
May 7, 2005 3:47PM PDT

I used to have AT&T and switched to T-Mobile last year. So far, I love my T-Mobile service. The price is second to none, and the customer support is excellent. There isn't much service when underground on the T, and in some buildings (especially deeper in the buildings, away from windows). Outside, around the Longwood area/Prudential Area, service is strong and Crystal Clear. I typically have 4-5 bars in town. In buildings, I average around 2-4 bars, depending on where in a building I am. Occasionally, when in large buildings I lose service altogether. Service is spotty outside town, especially in Westin (nobody gets service there though) and parts of Newton/Brookline. Overall, though, It works well for me, and the price is unbeatable. Check out T-Mobile's website for their Coverage maps. They have a VERY accurate one that you can zoom in on, and tells you what kind of signal you can expect in a given area (1 bar, 2 bars, 3 bars, etc...)

T-MOBILE VS VERIZON VS CINGULAR
Jun 10, 2005 11:17AM PDT

I WILL MAKE THIS SHORT I HAVE BEEN WITH CINGULAR SINCE SEPTEMBER 1994 WHEN IT WAS BELLSOUTH. AS OF AUGUST OR SEPTEMBER 2004 THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AS BAD AS IT CAN GET. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF CHANGING TO VERIZON. STAY AWAY FROM CINGULAR. EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO USE TIN CANS AND A STRING.
