T-Mobile Sidekick II Get More plan scam?

Sep 27, 2004 10:42AM PDT

Hey all,

A week or so ago I went on T-mobile web page and saw the new Sidekick II phone. I remember clearly that the advertisement was located in the upper right corner. I clicked on "get yours" link and had 2 plan options. One was for 39.99 (get more plan - it said that included 600 whenever minutes, unlimited nights/weekends and unlimited text messaging and web). The other plan was for 29.99 but I did not look into details.
Today, T-mobile is telling me that I was mistaken and that if I want unlimited text messaging I need to get Sidekick II data plan for an additional $20.00.
Has anyone seen that offer before they changed it. I know I am not mistaken because I had a few people look at it and they all saw the same offer.
If someone did see that please inform everyone. Maybe someone has a cashed page in their system that they can recover. I am really angry at T-mobile right now and am considering canceling the service.

Hi There,

I saw the same advertisement today for the Sidekick II on the T-Mobile website claiming the same price for 600 anytime minutes and unlimited web access and data etc.

Me too. After a few google search, T-Mobile decides to discontinue the unlimited IMs. It was a great offer tho, 9.99/month, now they only give 3000 for that price.
