I also have this folder windows/system32/config/systemprofile
But in my system any files there are very small, so what you have is a mystery.
I did find one very strange suggestion of a solution here;
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-desktop/cwindowssystem32configsystemprofiledesktop-is-not/8adbc6ac-64c5-4418-9223-95c92d2dc958
and it was the very last post in page 2.
What 'that' poster said was that he realised the license on his "pre-installed" Norton System Security suite had expired and he hadn't renewed it. He had to create a new admin user, log in with that, and then uninstall Norton.
Any chance you have any Norton products installed?

Hello all.. I do not know how it happened, yet it has. In my systemprofile (windows/system32/config/systemprofile) there are documents there which belong in a document folder.
My question is, can I move and/or delete these files without creating problems with the OS?
This has taken up a lot a space on my HD, approximately 10g's as many of them are duplicates.
TIA
