Rear & Re-Read,Still baffled???

In reply to: Your attention is directed to this forum

Curser,

Thanks for all the links spent a few hours going over all of it and still cant figure out the problem. I created a systom restore and there is one restore point when I went to the S.Restore page. Ill wait & restart my comp. to see If they are still there after restart. I do have enough space. All disc are turned on. So any other help or suggestions would be great.

Thanks again to all,

Daniel

Do you have Task Scheduler set to automatic and is it running? System Restore will not create automatic checkpoints unless it is.

Where is task scheduler located? Is that the same as scheduled task?

200MB of available space?

In reply to: Re: Rear & Re-Read,Still baffled???

I understand that If there is not 200MB of space available then system restore turns itself off or will not work.

I have three hard drives on my Acer laptop.
Drive(C)
Drive(D)Acerdata
Drive(E)Acer_Service

My hard drive is 30GB.
Drive(C)Used-9.74GB out of 18.1GB
Drive(D)Used-1.03GB out of 9.75GB
Drive(E)Used-4.09MB out of 7.79MB

Would system restore turn off because Drive (E) does not have sufficient space.

I have never had a hard drive seperated into threes before. What does Drive(E) Contain?

I turned off system restore on (E) and used spybot and it left a restore point?

Is there a way to send what I have on (E) to another area or is that recommended?

Thanks,Dan

P.S.Curser Cowboy, I didnt understand your message???
