If there was no changes from one point to the next then that's not an error message but informational. When you disabled SR and enabled it, a shiny new restore point is made. If you tried to make another, that message should occur. While this may sound confusing, nothing was found different hence the message.
To test if it's working you may have to install some software or wait awhile for a Windows Update.
On the surface, I think its ok.
I have a new computer. HP Pavilion a1630n, with Win XP Media Center Edition. Norton Antivirus 2006 is installed.
I have noticed that System Restore is not functioning properly.
When you start the procedue, you can see Restore Points, and you can also create Restore Points, but when you continue with the Restore procedure, there comes a message after restart, which informs you that nothing has been changed, and that you may try another Restore Point etc etc.
I followed instructions from an earlier date, found in this forum: I disbled System Restore, Restarted the machine, Enabled System Restore again, Created a new Restore Point. But no succes.
Any information will be very much appreciated
