Is System Restore (or something equivalent) available in Windows 98SE? I can't find any such reference in Windows Help. Thank you

SR started with WinME.

There are similar 3rd party utilities like GoBack available, but the original MS System Restore, no.

Keep hitting F8 as your computer boots up & you will see the Windows startup screen. Select option 6 which says something like dos/safe mode.
Type SCANREG/RESTORE at the dos promp & you will be given a choice of previous startup points.
Select one & you'll get a blue screen for a while & then be prompted to do a restart.

Hope this helps
