by fardeen_stayhot / July 5, 2010 12:21 AM PDT

hi every1!! i hav a kinda problem...so needed help!! a bit of a long story..i wanted to say the whole story..

At first once when i was playin a game..i hav an intel d946gzis mobo n nvidia 7300gt grafic card..!! while playin the game due to sum power fluctuations the grafic card stopped working n the display of my monitor went to blank n showed NO SIGNAL DETECTED! i tried restarting and even plugged the cable into my mobo vga port but still der was no display.! at last when i removed my graphic card from the mobo n connectd the monitr to my mobos vga port..the display came bak! i guess my grafic card got damaged and left it!

den came the problem of my system gettin sudden restarts...der cums a blue screen at first and den my system keeps on restarting until i switch it off for sum hours n den again it works nicely until i play heavy work like playin HD vdos n games on fb lyk farmville!
i have even tried cleanin all the clogged up dust in the heat sink fan over the processor, it kinda solved the problem for sum days but now again it still starts restarting! the blue screen codes i ve checked show hardware or driver problems!

so wat cud b the problem? CPU overheating ? driver problem? PSU problem? or is it sum pCIexpress mobo prob?

n do note dat my pc is 3 yrs old..n i neva xpeiencd dis problem until the grafic card issue started!! do give ur reviews ,it wud b mighty helpful!

re spontaneous shut downs and restarts ?

One of the most common causes of spontaneous restarts is simply dust buildup inside the PC clogging the CPU heatsink, the GPU, the PSU and case fans. The reduced capability to transfer and expel heat causes components and system to overheat and shut down to avoid permanent damage.

3 years old machine that needs some serious updating.
by LucJPatenaude / July 5, 2010 2:48 PM PDT

First, you will need to go onto the Intel web-site and use support page for mainboards made by Intel. Search her out with your MB's model # and, then, download + install the newest Bios upgrade for it. If Intel has more drivers for it, do them also.

Second, will need to do the same for all other piece of hardware available to your daily use of this system. Control Panel, Device Drivers and, explore all of your machine's components.

Third, if all of this is too hard for you to do, you will need a newer machine minus the monitor, sound system, keyboard and mouse and, printer maybe.

Good Luck at piecing your machine back up and running again! Wink
