Resolved Question

System Recovery Manager

by bruel555 / June 1, 2015 2:29 AM PDT

I have a HP Pavillion G6-2228 DX laptop, running W8, that is running extemely slow so I am trying to do a Full System Recovery. When I enter Recovery Manager I "select system recovery" hit "continue/yes" computer goes into reboot, after reboot "please wait", then I get a black screen. Nothing happens at this point. computer just sits in black screen.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what my problem is and is there a fix?

Onboard recovery systems are too easy to corrupt with either malware, trojan, or just bad luck. To restore these systems we use the old fashioned (?) recovery media. ALL HP laptops I've used in the past decade allow you to create restore media. If you opted out, you may order them for most models from hp.com

I would think the best is an install disc but...

I have no idea, something like that, how much the company will charge for it. I would go for that if it's around 40-45 bucks.

Meet the drop-resistant Moto Z2 Force

The Moto Z2 Force is really thin, with a fast processor and great battery life. It can survive drops without shattering.
