System Maintenance - We don't need no stinkin' maintenance

Actually the title is close to my view. I never reinstall the OS unless the drive dies or I wish to change the OS, i.e. Windows 2000 Pro to Windows XP Pro. The last time I did a defrag was about six months ago. I do a virus scan every night, but if I could figure a way to have a scan done automatically after a virus update, I would not do a nightly scan as it is unnecessary. My PCs am on 24/7 and are mostly used for software development and for graduate school word (MS/CIS)
