The moterboard drivers are current. I can't tell you anything more specific since you ignore the forum note which writes:
Note: If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem.
In your other post, I messed up and didn't require that you tell all and later you revealed the OS. Sorry about that.
I've been trying to get some sort of answer about this. I believe it's because of a commonly known default in my Adaptec Easy CD Creator software.
I've deleted that particular program and then reinstalled it to no avail. I downloaded an update and ran that, but the computer still fails to recognize my F drive.
I've restored my computer to an earlier point once and that fixed the problem. Until I tried to use the CD creator again. Now it's gone for good.
On the storage message board they were trying to tell me to delete the upper and lower filters out of something but were using the Windows XP system for their directions. That wasn't very helpful. I did manage to find the Registry Editor but couldn't locate the files they were telling me to delete. I don't want to fool around in there without specifics.
Plus, they are using terminology that is far more advanced than my tiny brain can understand. I need some help with this, and if you could walk me through it with detailed instructions. That would be great.
