Syncmaster P2350 Monitor - how to use full screen

Just bought a Samsung SyncMaster P2350 monitor (23inch) and installed it. Have downloaded driver also. How do I get to use it full screen (or close to) without stretching the image? Do I need a new graphics card? - I am on Windows XP.

Probably, BUT ...

you completely failed to inform us what your present graphics card is.

Some older cards simply do not support wide screen format so a newer card is in order.

Generally speaking, if the graphics card has DVI using a DVI cable will allow proper wide screen format.

Have You Actually Tried Changing To The Native Resolution?

Although previously mentioned about a possible need for a graphics card, you don't mention which resolutions you've tried.. The native resolution for that monitor is "1920 x 1080" but I'll guess that "1440 x 900" would work fairly well also.. Do you have those options in the Control Panel-Display icon-Settings tab-Screen Resolution section? If the resolution numbers listed are not that high, then YEP, you'll need a different graphics card which supports such.

Hope this helps.
