SyncMaster B2230H - can't use native resolution properly

I'm having some problems with my newly bought SyncMaster B2230H.
When I try to set it to its native resolution - 1920x1080 - I get a "zoomed in" effect. Part of the screen is missing, but can be reached by dragging the mouse along the edges. This is happening both on the desktop as well as in applications.

I've read suggestions that it might be a problem with the videocard drivers, but removing, reinstalling or updating them hasn't been a solution for me.

I'm on Windows XP running a Radeon HD 4870 videocard with the latest drivers (Version 10.11). I don't know if it's relevant, but the monitor is connected with the video card by VGA through a VGA-to-DVI adapter, as a DVI cable wasn't included with the monitor.

hi there. the solution for your problem is easy. in the menu of your lcd there is setup&reset go there and change the value of PC/AV mode to PC mode.

also i have an other question to samsung. i have bought this model 1 week before. and there was an issue. that is a bright white line occurs in upper line and down line at te edges of the screen. then i realised that it was blue colored in the down line. so i changed my lcd from the store i bought it.
