SyncMaster B1930 flickering

Jul 31, 2010 5:22PM PDT

Good day... I hope somebody can help me with my lcd problem.

I bought a new samsung lcd monitor with model b1930nw just a month ago.

Before I am using the built-in display adapter in the motherboard. I encountered no flickering, the display works fine. I decided to buy a graphics card from Nvidia with model GeForce210 1GB to help my computer improve performance but unfortunately the flickering of the Samsung B1930 started. My OS is Windows 7 32 bit and my motherboard is ASUS P5S-MX SE.

I tried updating both drivers the monitor and the graphics card but doesn't help at all. Can someone help me before I lost my eyes?

eleventh607,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this issue.

In many cases, the flickering can be a result of the Hz on the wrong setting. Check the manual to see which Hz frequency is compatible with the monitor, and check to see if your settings in the video card match. In some cases, the defaults may vary, so even with the update, it may be set on the wrong Hz/resolution rating.

I tried rolling back the driver for the graphics card and its still not working.. the monitor is like waving and flickering at the same time. I revert it back to the updated driver.

I went back to the built in graphics cards and encountered no problem at all though the display is not vivid and cannot support high end pc gaming. The screen resolution and refresh rate change doesn't fix the problem as well.

I'm running out of ideas to fix it... do you have something for me to try? please help.

Thanks in advance...

I also have the same problem and i checked it properly and found everything is fine and compatible with both the hardware and software (as per information details shown in my computer.

I mean this is a brand new monitor which i bought it last month.

Need solution, not a problem.

jeet.saikia,

If the advice I previously posted didn't work, it's probably best to contact the Samsung customer service center for further troubleshooting or a repair ticket. Unfortunately, I don't have any more tips to offer.
