I updated my video display drivers on my Gateway FX6831-01 (Intel Core Duo i7), with an ATI Radeon HD 5850 video card. After doing the driver update, I can no longer get my browser to fill the entire viewable area of the screen (16:9). I have 7/8" gaps on the sides and 1/2" gaps on the top and bottom with the browser maximized. I have the resolution set to the same as before the update (1920x1080). I am unable to select "Just Scan" in the tv/monitor options, fwiw. I have 16:9 selected. The tv/monitor is connected via HDMI, as it was before the update. Does anyone know how to correct this issue?
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
